Pendleton Woolen Mills and Nike have collaborated on a new collection for the N7 fund, which directly benefits the American Indian College Fund and Native American sports programs. Starting with the design of a blanket that underpins the entire collection, N7 designer Derek Roberts was inspired by traditional Native American dress, Nike Flyknit technologies and Pendleton’s weaving techniques to create a black and white design that features a series of arrows that vary in size, design and tone and sit around the N7 mark – three arrows pointing back to signify past generations, three arrows pointing forward to signify future generations, and arrows in the centre to represent the current generation.
Naturally, the collection includes more than just a blanket, with a Windrunner jacket, graphic tee, Air Force 1 high and, my favourite, Roshe Run. They will be releasing additional styles from October 26 and they are all available from Nike.com.
